A Super Bowl favorite—buffalo chicken dip…crock pot style
Prep time: 15 minutes
Enjoy a “super bowl” of this hot, zesty crowd-pleasing dip!
Ingredients:
½ cup of ranch dressing
½ cup of your favorite hot sauce
2 - 8-oz. packs of cream cheese
3 cups of finely chopped chicken breast
2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese
Optional: chopped onion. red pepper, jalapeno.
Instructions:
On medium heat, mix and melt dressing, hot sauce and cream cheese. Add in the chicken and cheese, stirring frequently on medium heat until smooth and creamy. (For expediency, this step can be done in a saucer on the stove and then poured into crock pot.) Decrease heat to low, stirring occasionally to prevent dip from burning on bottom of crock pot. Serve with chips, pita, carrots and/or celery.
Baked Version: Follow the same steps as above, except hold out ½ cup of cheddar cheese. Pour into a casserole dish generously sprayed with non-stick cooking spray. Top with extra cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes. Serve piping hot!
